Veg Grilled Cheese Sandwich


Veg Grilled Cheese Sandwich is a savory sandwich made using fresh vegetables and paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) and flavored with spices.

Sandwiches are not only delicious but are also the quickest and easiest meals to prepare. This Veg Grilled Cheese Sandwich recipe is also very healthy as it is loaded with vegetables and paneer. This is a sweet and spicy sandwich with filling of Cabbage, Carrot, Onion, Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese), Mayonnaise and Mozzarella cheese.

You can also add capsicum, beetroot or cauliflower to the filling. If you do not have mayonnaise available at home you can use hung curd (curd with water removed by hanging it in a cloth for 3-4 hours) or even cream.

I have made the sandwiches on a tawa (pan). You can also make them in a griller. Serve them along with Tomato Ketchup or Coriander Chutney.

Cheese sandwiches can be grilled so that the bread toasts and the cheese melts (a dish referred to as a grilled cheese sandwich, or simply grilled cheese). A grilled cheese is often heated by placing the buttered slices of bread, with the cheese between the slices, on a frying pan or griddle.

It is usually served as a snack, or as a (usually lunchtime) meal, in most cases with a side of salad.
